Who We Are
Let’s pause for a moment and allow us to formally introduce ourselves. We’re the dynamic duo, Jason and Amy Marcle, and our journey together has been nothing short of remarkable. Having tied the knot back in the year 2000, we’ve shared over two decades of love, laughter, and countless adventures. But the real joy of our lives is our cherished daughter, the incredible Haley, who brightens our days with her boundless energy and enthusiasm. Our story unfolds in the heart of rural Tennessee, a place that has always been near and dear to our hearts. Interestingly, we’ve never ventured far from the very spots where we first saw the light of day.
You see, destiny had a unique way of intertwining our lives, for even though we knew each other our entire lives, our paths never truly crossed until fate had other plans. Our encounter took place during our college years when we both found ourselves working at the same local grocery store. It was there, amid the hustle and bustle of checking out groceries and stocking shelves, that our friendship blossomed into something truly extraordinary. We discovered shared interests, mutual dreams, and a deep connection that neither of us could ignore.
Explore our Recovery Journey Stories as we share our experiences of mental health advocacy, church relationships, and support. Join us in understanding the importance of managing expectations in the recovery process and the significance of setting realistic recovery goals.
Now, here’s a fun tidbit: Amy is a wee bit older than Jason, and if you ask him, he’ll be more than happy to remind you of that fact on a daily basis! But it’s all in good fun, and it’s just one of the many quirks that make our relationship unique and endearing.
About Jason
Jason holds the pivotal role of Area Technical Manager at a dialysis treatment facility nestled in the heart of West Tennessee. His responsibilities encompass the meticulous oversight of water treatment systems, ensuring the seamless functionality of critical machinery, and offering adept troubleshooting and maintenance services across ten clinics. When he initially assumed this demanding position, he candidly remarked, “If a nurse or doctor were to falter in their duties at a dialysis clinic, their actions might affect one patient. However, any oversight on my part could have repercussions for an entire room of patients.” It’s safe to say that when we mention the intensity of his job, we are not indulging in mere jest.
Beyond his professional commitments, Jason fulfills his desire to sustain a purposeful life while educating people about God and His blessings, along with a positive outlook on life through his own experiences and learnings. His diverse array of interests encompasses the captivating realms of collecting and meticulously restoring Coleman Lanterns, angling for relaxation, immersing himself in the world of music, and ingeniously finding ways to create cherished moments with his beloved family. As a fervent supporter of the Chicago Cubs baseball team and an ardent enthusiast of the Memphis Grizzlies, Jason’s passion for sports runs deep. However, what truly ignites Jason’s passion for this blog is his journey of regaining a sense of control, grappling with grief, confronting anxiety, and bravely battling alcoholism. His ultimate aspiration is to extend a helping hand to others by openly sharing his narrative of adversity and finding joy in the recovery process. Jason is actively involved in counseling sessions and participates in local support meetings, which enable him to forge meaningful connections with fellow community members who are in the process of overcoming loneliness.
